Lead an ML team to build AI models for autonomous vehicle behavior analysis and evaluation.

• •Waymo is seeking a Technical Lead Manager (TLM) for its ML Simulation team to lead the development of machine learning models for autonomous vehicle behavior understanding and evaluation.
• •This role involves leveraging deep learning and Gen AI to enhance safety and performance.
• •Key Responsibilities Lead an applied ML team focused on building ML models for AV behavior understanding and evaluation using deep learning and Gen AI.
• •Design and build Gen AI LLM/VLM solutions for self-driving car behavior analysis and anomaly detection.
• •Oversee the production and optimization of machine learning models assessing Waymo's fleet.
• •Drive technical direction and provide guidance to the team.
• •Requirements B.S. in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams. 7+ years of hands-on experience in machine learning projects and deploying ML products in production.
• •Experience in Foundational Models, VLM, or Deep Learning.
• •Strong coding experience in C++ and/or Python.
