Engineering Manager, Accounting & Reconciliation

Lead the Ledger & Reconciliation Platform team to ensure accuracy and auditability of financial transactions.

• •Dave is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Ledger & Reconciliation Platform team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and auditability of all financial transactions within Dave's systems.
• •This is a greenfield opportunity to build a proprietary ledger and reconciliation platform from the ground up.
• •Key Responsibilities Lead and grow a team building ledger systems and reconciliation pipelines.
• •Define architecture prioritizing correctness, idempotency, and auditability.
• •Design and evolve double-entry ledger models and reconciliation workflows.
• •Build systems to reconcile internal state with external partners.
• •Partner with Accounting, Finance, Product, and Data Engineering.
• •Requirements 6+ years of software engineering experience. 1.5+ years of engineering management experience.
• •Experience in environments where correctness is non-negotiable (e.g., payments, banking, financial infrastructure).
• •Strong understanding of data correctness, transactional integrity, and consistency models.
