About the role
Lead incident management and resolution for CockroachDB Cloud and customer environments.
- •The Incident Manager will lead coordination and resolution of incidents across internal systems, CockroachDB Cloud, customer-hosted environments, and security/compliance events in the Pacific time zone.
- •Key Responsibilities Manage full incident lifecycle and declare/escalate high-severity incidents.
- •Lead cross-functional response and serve as escalation point for critical incidents.
- •Drive root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and track corrective actions.
- •Provide clear communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders and support reporting on incident metrics.
- •Requirements Located in Pacific time zone (San Mateo/US West Coast).
- •Experience with incident management, on-call rotations, and crisis response.
- •Skilled at cross-functional coordination and communicating to stakeholders.
- •Familiarity with incident metrics (MTTR, MTTD) and tooling/documentation improvements.
