About the role

Lead incident management and resolution for CockroachDB Cloud and customer environments.

  • The Incident Manager will lead coordination and resolution of incidents across internal systems, CockroachDB Cloud, customer-hosted environments, and security/compliance events in the Pacific time zone.
  • Key Responsibilities Manage full incident lifecycle and declare/escalate high-severity incidents.
  • Lead cross-functional response and serve as escalation point for critical incidents.
  • Drive root cause analysis, post-incident reviews, and track corrective actions.
  • Provide clear communication to technical and non-technical stakeholders and support reporting on incident metrics.
  • Requirements Located in Pacific time zone (San Mateo/US West Coast).
  • Experience with incident management, on-call rotations, and crisis response.
  • Skilled at cross-functional coordination and communicating to stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with incident metrics (MTTR, MTTD) and tooling/documentation improvements.
