About the role
Drive supplier growth and performance on a B2B gemstone marketplace.
- •As a Supplier Business Development Manager you play a critical role in growing and managing our supplier base for the B2B gemstone marketplace.
- •The role is proactive, driven and strategic: maintaining and building supplier relationships, optimizing their performance, and aligning their products with market needs.
- •Key Responsibilities Maintaining current suppliers, and identifying and onboarding of new suppliers to include, amongst others: verifying (quality, origin, location), KYC checks, media checks, and supporting high-potential suppliers while maximizing their sales growth and ensuring quality and inventory alignment with customer demand.
- •Building strong, consultative relationships with suppliers to ensure alignment with business goals.
- •Act as a primary point of contact for their growth, success, and troubleshooting needs.
- •Using data to assess supplier performance, identify growth opportunities, and provide actionable feedback on selection, pricing, and quality metrics.
- •Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 4-7 years of experience in account management, sales, business development, or a related role, ideally within B2B marketplaces or e-commerce.
- •Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional relationship-building and communication abilities, with a consultative approach to supplier management.
