About the role
TL;DR
Develop and maintain the Flutter-based vehicle inspection app for field teams.
- •You build the app our inspection teams use in the field
- •the tool that kicks off every vehicle assessment, every dispatch decision, and every pricing call across 130,000 vehicles a year.
- •You work in a team where coding agents write the first draft and your judgement decides what survives review.
- •Key Responsibilities Own the vehicle inspection app end to end: design, build, maintain, and improve it from concept to production.
- •Ensure field-grade performance by profiling, debugging, and optimizing the app for real-world conditions and weak connections.
- •Leverage AI-first development, using coding agents and LLMs as part of the daily workflow.
- •Shape technical decisions for state management, networking, camera/media handling, offline-first architecture, and UI components.
- •Mentor less experienced engineers and raise the standard of the whole team.
- •Requirements 3+ years of professional experience building production apps with Flutter and Dart.
- •Proven depth in complex mobile applications (state management, networking, API integration, camera/media handling, UI/UX components).
- •Command of mobile fundamentals (performance optimization, offline-first architecture, security, accessibility).
- •Experience with CI/CD pipelines and agile delivery.
- •An AI-native way of working, actively using tools like Claude, ChatGPT, or Copilot.
