About the role

Drive expansion and renewals within existing commercial accounts for an AI-native developer tool.

  • Cursor is seeking its first Commercial Account Executives (Expansion) to manage existing accounts, drive expansion, and ensure renewals.
  • This role focuses on high-growth companies adopting AI rapidly.
  • Key Responsibilities Own a portfolio of existing commercial customers, driving expansion, net revenue retention, and renewals.
  • Proactively engage with engineering, data, and product leadership to identify opportunities and deepen relationships.
  • Monitor usage commitments and proactively manage renewal cycles.
  • Collaborate with Product, Support, and Sales Leadership to improve commercial customer engagement.
  • Requirements 2+ years of closing experience in B2B SaaS.
  • Meaningful expansion and renewal experience, owning a book of business.
  • Experience selling technical products like dev tools, infrastructure, or data/AI platforms.
  • Strong commercial and strategic mindset, comfortable navigating change and usage-based models.
